Yesterday I took a little day trip with my two best friends to Martinez and Benicia. Not very far from home in Berkeley, but very different. We stopped in Martinez first and stumbled upon a farmer’s market on a street that was lined with the most incredible thrift / vintage shops ever!

I probably spent too much money, but among the highlights: square shaped bakelite hoop earrings (OMG!), a plaid shirt with pearl snaps and fringe (total cowgirl chic) and a bright aqua ottoman (same color as the chair above).

Tay, me, Linz. BF’s forever. Really.

Then we went over to Benicia. Not quite as stellar as Martinez had been, but we stopped and got yummy food and looked at the ocean.

I hope you had a lovely long weekend too!

Today’s craft sale at Knit-One-One was wonderful! I met lots of great people and had a lot of fun.

I love how the silver pops against the turquoise cards and dark cork. Coming up with the display on a short notice was challenging and fun, but there’s a lot of things I already want to do differently.

Well, I hope to have a relaxing long weekend, and hope you do too!

I’m up too late tonight, getting ready for the Knit-1-1 Craft Sale.

Designing lots of pieces has been really fun. Up until this sale, I’ve just been making a few pieces here and there. I’ve really enjoyed having a physical venue to work for.

Well, my box is all packed up for tomorrow, though I’m already terrified that I’ve forgotten something crucial. Oh well. It’ll be a fun day no matter what!

I’m so excited! This Saturday (May 23rd) I’ll be selling my jewelry at Knit-One-One in Berkeley! There will be about 10 other sellers, selling a wide range of goodies. It’s also a few doors down from the yummy Sweet Adeline Bakeshop. It’ll be lots of fun, and I hope to see you there!

Isn’t this the coolest thing:

I found it last week at the Evergreen Cemetery in Oakland. I think it’s incredible.

I was forwarded this photo contest  and found the most lovely pictures of all kinds of mysterious sea creatures. This is one of my favorites:

I want to make a pair of earrings based on their funny little stick legs and antenna (or whatever it is going on on top of their heads!).

I also just wanted to share that my mom and brother were just in town visiting. I hadn’t seen them since December, so it was really nice to have them visit.

We didn’t even mean to all wear blue! Guess we all think a bit a like. We had a really nice visit, but I’m sad to have them go.
