Inspirational Artist Polly Wales

These rings made by Polly Wales are really inspiring to look at. Each of them seem to be exploring different elements, but all are part of an exploration into lost wax casting.

I love these rings (above) because they look deteriorated and remind me of rocky ocean cliffs or a rivers edge eroding over time.

These rings remind me of old silver platters and serving trays. They look regal and formal, but also old, worn and a little off.

These last rings remind me of old jewelry parts, broken up and reassembled. Oxidized with glowing gems, these also feel like a marriage of old and formal with funky, edgy irregularity.
