One of my favorite things about making jewelry is the significance, sentimentality, and importance that jewelry can take on for the wearer. Much of my personal jewelry has come from family, and each piece has a story.
I recently sold a Hymenoptera ring to a man name John, and I wanted to share the significance that this ring represents for him. He explained to me that he and his girl friend had been talking about moving from the city and into the Virginia country side, where they would set up a farm for her to tend to. This ring represents his promise to her for their new joint dream.
I thought this was such a sweet story, and it’s stories like this that make me really love making jewelry. I feel so happy to be a part of John and his girlfriend’s story.
